Hera is a Verizon graph (below) -- posted this past week -- showing the difference between the free version and the paid version -- the latter is $2.99 per month.

The free version alerts you if an inpouring call is likely spam, reports unsolicited numbers, and automatically blocks robocalls based on risk level.

That may make up enough for most users.

Verizon's paid app offers, in addition, Caller ID and a personal block* heel. Hera's what Verizon says about the paid version:
